I'm speechless...yeah, I don't know what to say but felt the need to share.

WOW!
What's most hilarious about this, is those two are COACHES for debate!

Anyone care to translate? I didn't get most of that.
Gotta love it when people go beyond debate and get all emotional.

RightOn: Here is some background on what happened before the drama happened.
@Ozone - Yeah I know!
Of course this video has gone viral. I wonder if they still have jobs.

I did LD debate in high school, and that was a lot tamer, but I'd heard stories about CX debates that got really heated. Never anything like this, though. Kinda wish I had witnessed something like this or I may have stuck with it in college. HA!

WOW, Tyme, care to translate that into English? :D
I never did Debate myself... so most of that stuff went over my head.

If I remember all this correctly (it's been 8 years):
The strike sheet is the list of judges, and the debaters are permitted to disallow certain ones to judge them, for whatever reason (usually bias or reputation).
One team (the affirmative) struck one judge because he was an alum of the other team's school, and the neg team struck the black woman because she had voted them down, as in, ruled against them in a prior debate.
AFF team apparently tried to make it a race war in their opening statements, and then in cross examination continued the argument because the neg team didn't address it. Chaos ensued.

Ahhh, I figured it was a race thing... they looked like they had that chip on their shoulder.
It's one thing to be pissed that they voted you out for your past rulings... it's another thing entirely to blow up because you assumed it to be a race thing.
I really wish people would grow out of this assumed racism crap.

That shouldn't have descended into a race issue. Weird, weird people. I do applaud the lady giving a speech at the end though ... it seemed that she managed to resolve the issue through pure force of personality. Good on her.
