10) People are selfish

9) Someone is always trying to convince someone else that they are right, when really everyone is partially wrong 100% of the time, including myself.

8) Humans spend their time obtaining knowledge from the media, eating fast food and inhaling poisons.

7) Everyone wants to be rich, but if you want to know what God thinks of money, Just look at the people he gave it to.

6) Everybody thinks they could/should rule the world, meanwhile the rulers of the world are killing everybody.

5) Everyone wants to speak at once while no one listens, finally when everyone shuts up people are too proud to speak.

4) "Fundamentals" has turned into a bad word and morals have become sooooo last century.

3) The same people that think video games and movies don't teach young people that guns contribute to people killing are the same people that don't think I should be allowed to have a Gun.

2) By now most people are waiting for the word "Bush" to appear in this spot, Instead, Place the name of those people here _______.

And the Number one reason the world is screwy.....

1) Because anyone and everyone feels they should be allowed to do whatever they want, whenever they want, however they want and if anyone tells them they can't it's only because of their race, sex, age, height, name or sexual preference. Not simply because the world is in desperate need of structure, fundamentals, order, rules, and discipline no, it couldn't be.

Enjoy picking this thread apart and fulfilling reason 9.

Anyone who disagrees with me agrees with me.

I agree, But I am partially wrong! :)

"8) Humans spend their time obtaining knowledge from the media, eating fast food and inhaling poisons."

Word.

One of my professors in college had a theory: that professional sports in America are just guises meant to keep the public from spending too much time analyzing how the government works, for if they knew how the government does what it does, there would be some type of coup. Essentially, professional sports dulls the perceptive and analytical sense of the public, which over time, allows the media to control how we behave and think.

Go Colts!

Mike: LOL! That actually makes sense... Im going for the Bears, not really a "fan" but I have to choose someone!

This shit is insane, you're mentally enslaved
cause you're too busy to think 'til the end of the day
but you're still stressin' at home even after getting your pay
cause these bill collectors are on the phone and you just spent what you made.
All you can think to do is pop in a video tape or video game
just to start driftin' away

Or if you agree with Chris Rock, damn near everything is to get your mind off of the government:

"Yo, don't let all this celebrity news fool you. All this stuff going on in the news? It's just a trick to get your mind off the war. That's all it is. I think Bush sent that girl to Kobe's room. Bush sent that little boy to Michael Jackson's house, Bush killed Laci Peterson... Bush was fucking Paris Hilton in that video, all to get your mind off the war."

Chris, I just listened to that yesterday. Haha. It's so true.

#1 Microwaves are sucking all of the nutrients from our food and causing us to have reduced metabolisms and require more food to be consumed, fattening the pockets of kraft and altria executives, who then spend the money marketing cigarettes to the youth, who then clog up our healthcare system with their clogged lungs and arteries, fattening the pockets of crooked doctors who have invested in the taiwanese manufacturers of those very same microwaves.

You missed the real #1: Paris Hilton.

My #1 is related to your #1: people just don't think of the consequences of their actions. For example: why do the world's poorest countries have the highest birth rates? Why do governments restrict the knowledge available to their people, so that whole countries make the same mistakes that others do, e.g. India and China becoming the world's greatest polluters, with populations so gargantuan that life has no value?

There are more things in the heaven and the earth than dreamt of in your philosophy, Michaellouviere.

I agree with some of your thoughts, but am still dissapointed by the level of bigotry you demonstrate in your christian-centric universe. I'd say the majority of the world does have a set of morals, but they just don't match your own.

Besides... you told me there's no free-will, so everything is going along exactly as your god intended it, and there's no problems whatsoever!

1) We are moist meat robots without free-will
2) The Big Bang was Intelligent
3) They won't let me wear my Rhino-penis hat at work

Besides... you told me there's no free-will, so everything is going along exactly as your god intended it, and there's no problems whatsoever!

I agree.. not in the end there wont be.

Besides... you told me there's no free-will

I never said they is no free-will, not once. I said free-will is limited. Anyway, I guess I did forget to add liars up there didn't I?

<Strong> Everyone else

You contributed some nice ideas and thoughts to the topic. I enjoyed reading your thoughts.

zkatkin: Funny post!

Gnorb: Paris Hilton kinda fits into number #7.

phantomdata: Interesting hat, very professional, what kind of work do you do?

The world may indeed be screwy, but, well, at least it's fairly reliable in its screwiness. *laughs* Many of these issues have gone on for centuries, the words were just a bit different in the past. I think most things happen in cycles. There's a lot of good that occurs, too, though. :)

LOL...you guys are all great. Well, why you guys are all worried about why the world is screwy, im going to run away to a deserted tropical island and sip mimosas and have lots of passionate sex with and island man, and indulge in my hedonistic pleasures. If you want to join, come on!

and....i agree with leliathomas......but you have a good point Michael, darling.
