Pi was first found by the ancient Babylonians around 2000 B.C.. The modern Pi symbol was created by William Jones in 1706. Now, we just listen to it.

I sent an email to everyone in my office this morning letting them all know and suggested a one minute (or 3 and a bit seconds) silence at 1:59 to celebrate Pi. Sadly, I wasn't there to observe it myself, since I had an emergency to attend to, but I'll probably hear all about the wild party tomorrow.
