Do you read news directly from your RSS reader or do you just read titles (or summary) and open the original page of the news?

It depends of the website for me, if I know it is just plain text, I keep reading from the RSS reader (Vienna on Mac, GreatNews on Windows). If I know the content is more elaborated, I open the page.

Its one of the things I least like about the new 9rules - aggregation of sections!!!

I used to use 9rules as a pseudo aggregator for various sections (programming, photography, politics, web++, technology, design to name a few)

I'm currently reading news using google's reader, *but* I always open up those ones that I'm interested in reading. Gives me the chance to comment/read comments and the like.

I like to check comments for sites (or leave comments of my own), so many times I'll actually head to the website that the post is from.

I don't use RSS readers at all, really. I still visit websites the old fashioned way, and I prefer it.

I am with Cyrris on this one. I like getting the experience of the website by reading the post on the site. Plus the comment are right there to utilize.

I use the Sage Firefox extension to tell me about new posts, and then I click through to the actual site.
