It might be just me but I rather pay taxes to get decent health insurance then be uninsured. I mean seriously do people really value extra cash over having good health insurance and no need to worry about hospital bills if you get sick.
So be it if I have to have a regular car instead of a SUV a regular house instead of one with spare rooms and big garage, etc. I mean no matter how healthy you are now, everyone is at risk to wake up sick one day. You wouldn't want to worry about bills when you are sick.

If YOUR taxes were going to YOUR healthcare I wouldn't give a damn. It's the fact that the government would hold the right to tax me as MUCH as they want, to pay for EVERYONE'S healthcare.
Since when was your health, my problem?

It seems that thought process has led the US to its current healthcare doldrums. When Moore visits France, Britain, and Cuba, the exact opposite sentiment is what lets those citizens enjoy better healthcare, because their citizens appear to care more about the welfare of their neighbors than Americans do.

I guess I'm just a boorish moron then... I prefer individuality to the "hive" concept.
(Sorry if I seem to be a bit abrasive... I've got a cold and I tend to be more abrasive than normal on meds)

For the record... I'm not saying such a system (Federal Healthcare) isn't a valid form of welfare... IT IS. I just don't want any part of it.
If the private sector wants to set up an opt0in donation program that would help offset costs and those who are FOR taxation to suplement health coverage were willing to put their money into it... then no harm no foul. I simply refuse to believe in the pipe dream that the US government can do a better job than the private sector.

Oh you guys and your good, good times.
I find the linking debate the most interesting, probably even more interesting than this video I'd wager.
I once had my server yanked from me for linking to a forum where they told you how to crack CS3. No federal agents showed up, but my poor website didn't receive it's daily dose of hits.
It's hard to fight the system these days.
