For those who don't know about it, Watching America.com colellcts and translates articles from newspapers worldwide that talk about the US.
While I think it's a fascinating idea and a great resource, I think it would be even better if they made a general world news edition. One that covered the top stories from International newspapers without necessarily focusing on the US or any country in particular. I know that would demand far greater resources, time and money, but it could be done.

Foriegn press is just as weighted as Domestic Press... there's no way to tell if what you're reading is BS or not.
Case in point, on a recent episode of 'No Reservations' with Tony Bordain... he was stuck in Beirut. All they showed on the TV news was Bush in situations where he did not appear 'focused' on information (eating a biscuit and talking to some other leaders etc.). You got the impression that the US didn't even know there was a war going on and news of "rescue" locations was never broadcast on the news. He got out, but not without effort on HIS part.

I've read this for some while, albeit that i'm British. It's hugely interesting to listen to views of citizens in other countries. I also have a soft spot for analysis the different writing styles :$.
The German articles seem to prove some of the most interesting to browse.
